Fit Member Program
The AVORA Fit Member Program
Introduction
The Fit Member program is designed for individuals who are former physical therapy patients who have received orthopedic rehabilitation or have specific medical needs which are better served by resources available in a physical therapy clinic.
Benefits
Fit Members have access to physical therapists as availability permits. Therapists guide patients in the proper use of equipment and techniques in order to minimize injury and maximize strength, balance, and physical conditioning. Fit Members also have access to a custom designed Home Exercise Program (HEP).
Program Use
The program is designed for use by individuals who have completed physical therapy with AVORA in the last 60 days and wish to continue to use the equipment with their custom Home Exercise Program and have reasonable access to a physical therapist. The cost to use the program is $10 per visit.
Individuals that have not been treated by AVORA for an orthopedic condition in the last 60 days are required to have an initial evaluation, so the physical therapist can determine the most beneficial routine for the member.
Insurance
We do not file insurance claims for the fit member program.
Restrictions
The Fit Member program is not intended to be a substitute for physical therapy treatment. Patients receive priority over Fit Members with respect to use of equipment and interaction with the AVORA staff. Members are encouraged to call ahead or schedule in advance to help AVORA staff maximize resource availability. Access to equipment is limited to 1 hour per day. Members needing more individualized care should discuss their needs with an orthopedic physical therapist to create the best possible plan of care.
