Health Insurance
We participate with Medicare, most Medicare replacement plans, Medicare supplement plans, Blue Cross Blue Shield, NC State Health Plan, Tricare, VA & VA Choice, and a few varieties of Aetna, Humana, and United Healthcare.
If you have an insurance plan that we do not participate with, you are invited to benefit from our low Same Day Payment rates and file your own claim with your insurance company. Since each insurance company is unique in how they handle claims, we can't guarantee how much they will be willing to reimburse you.

Same Day Pay Rates
If you are self insured, you will appreciate that our rates are among the best in the industry. In fact, our rates are even less than the copay that some of our patients have when using their insurance. Why are our rates flat? Simple, healthcare fees are too difficult to understand and patients become frustrated when they can not budget for medical expenses. How can our rates be lower than some health insurance copays? Because the cost of insurance is being passed on to the consumer. For example, some patients have copays as high as $70 per visit. A self insured patient actually saves on each return visit as well as several hundred dollars per month in premiums. Furthermore, we save time and money when we can work directly with patients and not through 3rd and 4th part affiliates when billing through insurance. It is a win-win situation for us to lower our rates and encourage patients to pay us directly. Most individuals also retain the right to submit their own claim to their insurance company for reimbursement. Essentially, the patient takes some of the work off our our staff and in return, we provide outstanding service and flat rates.
We have two flat rates for orthopedic patients:
$139 flat rate for initial evaluations (includes the initial evaluation, testing, and any treatment during the initial visit by the therapist)
$69 flat rate for return visits (all visits consisting of therapy treatment after the initial evaluation visit)
Our rates really are that simple if you choose to pay your own bill rather than us needing to process claims with your insurance company.
If you are being seen by a vestibular therapist for a vestibular disorder the flat rates are:
$189 flat rate for initial evaluations (includes the initial evaluation, testing, and any treatment during the initial visit by a vestibular therapist)
$89 flat rate for return visits (all visits consisting of vestibular rehabilitation after the initial vestibular evaluation visit)
AVORA will schedule you to work directly with a licensed physical therapist. With minor exception, we work to schedule you with the same therapist each visit. In addition, our treatment times generally exceed the amount of time found in many hospital owned clinics. We allot 80 minutes for initial evaluations and 40 minutes for general treatments.
For your financial security we prefer payments to be made using credit or debit cards including Mastercard, Visa, & Discover. Our online payment portal also allows you to pay using your bank account's routing and account number.
